AC Milan vs Arsenal should be an entertaining game tonight on ITV and I am looking forward to watching that one. AC Milan have scored 2 goals or more at the San Siro on 13 different occasions this season so they should at least get one goal tonight against and Arsenal side that have never been renowned for their defensive excellence.
AC Milan have also only kept clean sheets against Auxerre, BATE & Viktoria Plzen since the end of 2007 in the Champions League so they are used to conceding against the bigger sides in Europe. Given that Arsenal have scored in their last 5 away games in the Champions League I expect them to score against a decent, but not world class, Milan defence.
Benfica to beat Zenit St Petersburg is a brave shout given that minus 10 degree weather in Russia and the decent home record of Zenit in the Champions League. However, I believe it's a great value bet.
Benfica are undefeated in the Champions League this season scoring 5 in their last 3 games winning two of them in the process and they won their last 11 games in a row in all competitions.
Ok so the minus 10 degrees does swing the balance back towards Zenit but given that they haven't played a competitive fixture since mid-December then I think that Benfica need to be backed tonight.
Finally we have Ayr United vs Falkirk and I am being even more brave going for the draw, particularly given the overall home record of Ayr and the overall away record of Falkirk. That's why the bookies have gone for Falkirk as the favourites and the EVENS odds do look tempting.
However, These two sides have drawn their last 3 meetings and Ayr United have drawn 7 of their last 9 home games so they certainly know how to have a tight game. Given that Falkirk have drawn their last 2 away, and 3 out of their 4 home & away, I can see this game being a draw again.
Who knows but a 2pt TREBLE that returns 34.65pts would be a great win for The Canary.
