All on the line

A small loss last night obviously doesn't feel too good but we were only the one goal away from making the profit so it's nothing to worry about too much, that is football. However, as we approach the end of the month I feel that we need to put some space between ourselves and the bookie as it's too close to call as it currently stands.

Which reminds me of a certain show of passion and desire from a man who has recently come out and had a go at the Scottish Premier League for bringing the start of the Scottish season forward a few weeks. I for one can see his argument but as a fan first, and a punter second, I take the view that this is a good thing for us as we now have some decent UK football to keep us occupied until the Football League and Premier League kick off in August. 


With the kick off fast approaching, we need a Butcher like commitment to making some points this weekend and in a big way. Luckily enough I have found some great value around thanks to the increased fixture list and in fact it was actually quite hard to narrow down my selections to a firm 5 for each day over the coming weekend.

Friday 22nd July


My main bet for Friday is a 0.5pt TRIXIE that returns 11.90pts on the following selections:

• Duisburg vs Energie Cottbus - Total goals OVER 2.5 @ 8/11

All five selections above in a 0.5pt FIVEFOLD pays out 12.70pts so that's a total lay of 5 points for today.

Saturday 23rd July

For Saturday I only have the 4 selections and I have gone for all possible TREBLES at 1pt a pop with a 1pt FOURFOLD in addition to make a total lay of 5pts with a potential return of 43.33pts:

Sunday 24th July

My main bet for Sunday is a 0.5pt TRIXIE that returns 8.99pts on the following selections:

• Brann to beat Viking Stavanger @ 5/6 - Norwegian Eliteserian

In addition to the above I have also gone for a 2.5pt DOUBLE that returns 7.33pts on the following two picks:

• JJK Jyvaskyla to beat TPS Turka @ 5/6 - Finnish Veikkausliga

A 0.5pt FIVEFOLD on all selections for Sunday returns 10.27pts to make a total lay of 5pts for the day, and 14pts for the whole weekend.
