Do the Splits?

Courtesy of theoraclespeaks.net
So tonight we have two British clubs taking on the Splits of Croatia and whilst I believe that Martin Jol's Fulham will comfortably progress against the lesser known RNK Split I do see trouble ahead for Tony Pulis and his Stoke charges.

Whilst the bookies are drawing the tie as a tight affair with Stoke set at the slight favourites with odds of 6/5 against Split's 9/5 I can see the Potters finding the going far more difficult then that, especially as they only hold a slender one nil lead from the 1st leg. Hopefully Stoke can do the British proud by picking up an away goal in their first European trip in something like 37 years but I for one will be avoiding that game as it could literally go either way.

My main bet for today is a 2.5pt DOUBLE that returns 10.02pts on the following:

  • IFK Gothenburg vs AIK Solna - Total goals OVER 2.5 @ 10/11 - Swedish Allsvenskan
  • Molde to beat Start @ 11/10 - Norwegian Tippeligaen
In addition to the above two selections I am also taking a punt on a 1.5pt SIXFOLD that returns a healthy 20.31pts on the two selections above along with the four extra picks below:
  • Austria Vienna to beat Olimpija @ 4/6 - UEFA Europa League
  • Vitoria Guimaraes to beat FC Midtjylland @ 4/6 - UEFA Europa League
  • Fulham to beat RNK Split @ 1/7 - UEFA Europa League
  • Maccabi Tel Aviv to beat Zeljeznicar @ 3/10 - UEFA Europa League
Hopefully we can get some profit to keep us going until the nPower Football League kicks off in around 48 hours!
