Tuesday betting tips

Not sure how the Spurs/Villa game ended 2-0 last night given the chances spurned in the game by the rampant home side but that's football. I certainly would go for the same again if it were available and more times out of ten you would get a result.


Tonight we see the 5th round robin game in the UEFA Champions League along with the FA Cup 1st Round replays. I shall be avoiding the two nPower Championship games although I was tempted to take Malky Mackay's Bluebirds at EVENS to beat lowly Coventry City at the Ricoh Arena. One more loss would surely bring the hammer down on Mr Thorn, particularly given the way that Aidy Boothroyd lost his job last season.


Anyway tonight I have four picks and shall be placing four 1pt TREBLES across all possible combinations (return 23.04pts) along with a single 1pt FOURFOLD (returns 10.31pts) that makes a total stake of 5pts for a potential return of 33.35pts on the following selections:

• Manchester United vs Benfica - Both teams to score = YES @ 19/20 - UEFA Champions League
• FC Basel to beat Otelui Galati @ 4/5 - UEFA Champions League
• Lyon to beat Ajax @ 8/11 - UEFA Champions League
• Gillingham vs Bournemouth - Total goals OVER 2.5 @ 7/10 - FA Cup
